Everybody is so excited as it gets closer and closer to Christmas. Nencho came for English play and even before greetings you could feel the excitement. Since everyone was already excited we warmed up with the usual greetings and jumped straight into “Santa’s on His Way”, a song about what we want for Christmas. Everyone really enjoys seeing the characters.

For the final English play of 2025 we played two Christmas games🎉 Hammer Smash🔨💥 brought on lots of hollers of excitement; three at a time ran to smash the Christmas word Alyssa-sensei said. Some classes were more competitive but everyone was heard cheering on their friends.

Santa was sleepy and tired and needed help delivering the presents, Nencho came to help! Christmas Tree team🎄 and Reindeer team🦌 raced to bring the present Alyssa-sensei wanted. The whole class asked “What do you want?” to get Alyssa-sensei to answer. It was high tension everywhere and everyone had a great time. Some had quick feet🏃‍♂️‍ to make it to the goal first and others were very cool-headed 😎carrying the gift very steadily.

クリスマスが近づくにつれて、子どもたちのワクワクがどんどん大きくなっています。年長さんが英語あそびに来た時も、あいさつの前からすでに元気いっぱいの様子が伝わってきました。みんなの気持ちが高まっていたので、あいさつで軽くウォームアップしたあとは、クリスマスに欲しいものを歌う “Santa’s on His Way” を元気に歌いました。登場するキャラクターを見るのも大人気です。

2025年最後の英語あそびでは、クリスマスゲームを2つ楽しみました🎉
まずは “Hammer Smash”🔨💥アリサ先生が言ったクリスマスの言葉をめがけて、3人ずつ走ってハンマーでタッチするゲームです。あちこちから大きな歓声があがり、クラスによってはとても白熱！ 友だちを応援する声もたくさん響いていました。

次は、眠くてつかれているサンタさんのお手伝いゲーム。年長さんがサンタさんの代わりにプレゼントを運びました！ クリスマスツリーチーム🎄 とトナカイチーム🦌に分かれて、アリサ先生が欲しいプレゼントをいち早く届けるレースです。全員で “What do you want?” と聞くと、アリサ先生がほしいものを答えてくれます。教室中がハイテンション！ すばやく走って届ける子もいれば🏃‍♂️、落とさないように慎重に運ぶ子もいて😎、それぞれのスタイルが光りました。

みんながそれぞれの楽しみ方で英語あそびを満喫していて、とても微笑ましい時間でした。次の英語あそびもお楽しみに！
