Good afternoon everyone!

 

The end of June is fast approaching and the rainy season is well and truly here – we get daily reminders thanks to the clouds! However, I like to think of the clouds as helpful reminders of the English we`ve learned in our lessons. Everyone has become increasingly comfortable identifying the different types of weather through our games and songs. It makes me proud to know our routines and hard work strengthen our understanding in each lesson!

 

Today 年中 excelled at recalling our words simply from recognising the associated actions alone. Following our vocabulary review and weather song, everyone took part throwing balls to knock down our coloured towers. The colours are associated with the weather words e.g. blue = rainy and yellow = sunny. Never underestimate how fun it is to throw things! We had a fun time knocking down towers and repeating our vocabulary – we even started to talk about today`s weather!

皆さん、こんにちは！

 

6月も終わりに近づき、梅雨らしい天気が続いていますね。毎日のように空に浮かぶ雲を見るたびに、梅雨を実感します。しかし私は、その雲を見るたびに英語のレッスンで学んだことを思い出してくれると嬉しいなと思っています。ゲームや歌を通して、みんなはさまざまな天気の言葉を自信を持って言えるようになってきました。毎回のレッスンで繰り返し取り組んできたことが、しっかりと力になっているのを感じ、とても嬉しく思っています。

 

今日の年中クラスは特に素晴らしく、動きを見るだけで天気の言葉を思い出すことができました。単語の復習と天気の歌を歌った後は、ボールを投げて色のタワーを倒すゲームをしました。それぞれの色は天気の言葉と結びついていて、例えば青は「rainy（雨）」、黄色は「sunny（晴れ）」を表しています。みんな夢中になってタワーを倒しながら、何度も天気の単語を練習しました。さらに、今日の天気についても英語で話し始めることができました！
