Good afternoon everybody!

 

Now it`s June 年中 have moved on to a different topic. They did very well learning about animals and different actions in May, and this month we will focus on something we have to consider everyday – the weather! We have started learning words such as `sunny`, `cloudy`, `stormy`, `snowy`, `windy` and `rainy`. Since the rainy season has started, I expect `rainy` will be easily remembered!

 

In class today we played charades. After reviewing our weather words one by one and singing our weather song we took turns in groups to run and touch the card connected to the action. Everybody gained in confidence as the lesson progressed, and some were even confident enough to take on the role as teacher! I was very proud of those brave enough to take the lead and demonstrate the actions in front of their friends. Keep reviewing the weather at home – take a look out the window and don`t forget your umbrella!

皆さん、こんにちは！

 

6月になり、年中クラスも新しいテーマに取り組み始めました。5月は動物やさまざまな動きを楽しく学びましたが、今月は私たちが毎日気にしている「天気」について学びます！「sunny（はれ）」「cloudy（くもり）」「stormy（あらし）」「snowy（ゆき）」「windy（かぜ）」そして「rainy（あめ）」といった言葉を覚え始めました。ちょうど梅雨の季節が始まったので、「rainy」はきっとすぐに覚えられそうですね！

 

今日のレッスンでは、ジェスチャーゲームを楽しみました。天気の単語を一つずつ確認し、天気の歌を歌った後、グループごとに順番に走って行き、先生が見せる動きに合ったカードをタッチするゲームをしました。レッスンが進むにつれてみんなの自信もどんどん増し、中には先生役に挑戦してくれる子もいました！お友だちの前で勇気を出してリーダー役をしてくれた子どもたちを、とても誇らしく思いました。

 

ぜひおうちでも天気について話してみてください。窓の外を見て、今日の天気は何かな？と考えてみましょう。そして、お出かけのときは傘を忘れないでくださいね！
