Good afternoon everyone!

 

It`s a new month and that means a new topic for our English classes! July is shorter because the first term will soon end, but we still have a few wonderful opportunities to learn a little about summer. Today, Elephant and Bear class were introduced to some of the insects we can expect to see flying about – now they are familiar with butterflies, ladybirds and bumblebees!

 

Everyone did wonderful work imitating the hand actions  and repeating the words for each of the three insects. Don`t be surprised to hear them singing “bu-tter-fly, la-dy-bug, bum-ble-bee” at home and please feel free to join in with this catchy song!

皆さん、こんにちは！

 

新しい月が始まり、英語のレッスンも新しいテーマになりました！7月はもうすぐ1学期が終わるため少し短いですが、夏ならではのことを楽しく学ぶ時間がまだたくさんあります。

 

今日のElephantクラスとBearクラスでは、夏によく見られる昆虫について学びました。butterfly（ちょうちょう）、ladybug（てんとう虫）、bumblebee（マルハナバチ）の3種類を紹介し、それぞれの名前を英語で覚えました。

 

みんなは昆虫の動きを表す手遊びを上手にまねしながら、一生懸命に英語の言葉を繰り返してくれました。おうちでも「bu-tter-fly, la-dy-bug, bum-ble-bee♪」と歌っている姿が見られるかもしれません。そのときは、ぜひご家族のみなさんも一緒に歌ってみてくださいね！
