Good afternoon everyone!

 

Today was the last English lesson for Elephant and Bear class, and the last of all English lessons in term one! It`s summer and there`s no escaping the heat or the insects that come with it either. Butterflies, ladybugs and bumblebees weren`t just seen outside – they found their way into our classroom too! 

 

After singing our usual morning and days of the week songs we sang the “butterfly ladybug bumblebee” song as well. The class had fun copying the actions to the insects before searching the room and touching the correct insect. This was only the second lesson covering this topic, but everyone did well and tried their best!

 

Elephant and Bear classes have joined in so well throughout the first term. For many, this will be their first contact with English and I hope they are inspired to learn more and more over the years!

皆さん、こんにちは！

 

今日はElephantクラスとBearクラスの英語レッスン、そして1学期最後の英語レッスンでした！

 

夏になり、暑さだけでなく虫たちの季節にもなりましたね。ちょうちょうやてんとう虫、マルハナバチは外だけでなく、なんと今日の英語教室にも遊びに来てくれました！

 

いつものモーニングソングと曜日の歌を歌ったあと、「Butterfly, Ladybug and Bumblebee」の歌を楽しみました。歌に合わせて虫たちの動きをまねしたり、教室の中に隠れている虫を探して、正しい虫にタッチするゲームをしたりしました。このテーマはまだ2回目のレッスンでしたが、みんな一生懸命に取り組み、とてもよく頑張っていました！

 

ElephantクラスとBearクラスのみんなは、1学期を通して毎回楽しく英語に参加してくれました。多くのお友だちにとって、これが英語との初めての出会いだったと思います。これからも英語に興味を持ち、少しずつ「もっと知りたい！」「もっと話してみたい！」という気持ちが育ってくれたら、とても嬉しいです。
