Good afternoon everyone!

 

We are back and the second term starts with 年長 blasting off into space! Today was quite the challenge because we sang four new songs, but I am already impressed by how everyone has taken to the challenge. Space is one of my favourite subjects to teach and it`s so easy to reinforce at home; just go and take a look at the night sky!

 

The words 年長 will focus on are `sun`, `moon`, `stars`, `earth`, `planets`, `rocket`, `astronaut` and `alien`. Today we played a simple game to get familiar with these words and we connected them to actions to help remember them. No easy feat, but 年長 are up to the challenge!

皆さん、こんにちは！

2学期が始まり、年長クラスのみんなと一緒に宇宙へ出発です！🚀 今日のレッスンは少しチャレンジングな内容でした。なんと新しい歌を4曲も歌いましたが、みんなが楽しみながら挑戦してくれていて、すでにとても感心しています。

 

宇宙は私の大好きなテーマのひとつです。そして、おうちでもとても簡単に英語を復習することができます。ぜひ夜になったら、空を見上げてみてください！

 

年長クラスでは、sun（太陽）、moon（月）、stars（星）、earth（地球）、planets（惑星）、rocket（ロケット）、astronaut（宇宙飛行士）、alien（宇宙人）の8つの言葉を中心に学んでいきます。

 

今日は、これらの言葉に親しむための簡単なゲームをしました。それぞれの言葉に動きをつけて、体を動かしながら覚えました。簡単なことではありませんが、年長クラスのみんななら、このチャレンジをきっと乗り越えてくれると思います！
